Now that we’re officially on the cusp of the Gears of War 4 beta launch, we’re getting more information about just how that beta is going to work. The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson was kind enough to confirm a few things on Twitter over the last few days, including the fact that people who bought and played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before April 1 will begin getting access to the Gears of War 4 beta on April 18.
On his Twitter account, Fergusson also made it clear there won’t be any kind of pre-loading available as those who are eligible for the beta will get the code when they have been granted access to the beta. While this won’t be welcome news to some, it does mean the server loads won’t be off the charts and should give everyone playing the game a better experience.
While it’s not clear just how long the beta will run after it kicks off on April 18, we won’t have long until we all have access to the full game. The Coalition recently confirmed Gears of War 4 will be launching exclusively for the Xbox One on October 11, 2016.
