A new Gears game is around the corner, which also means a brand new Horde Mode. The signature multiplayer mode of the franchise will be in its third iteration this time around, and to show us exactly what’s changed (and what’s the same) this time around, Microsoft released a brand new trailer for the game dedicated to showing us the revamped mode.
“Fan favorite five player co-op mode, Horde, returns with Gears of War 4 and with it comes a landslide of new features including character classes, skills, abilities and much more. This is your first look at the five-vs-all, 50 waves of escalating mayhem that is Horde 3.0,” Microsoft said about the new take on the returning mode.
Gears of War 4 will launch on October 11, exclusively for the Xbox One, as well as for PCs running Windows 10. It is slated to be a Play Anywhere title, and it will feature limited Cross-Play, supporting co-operative, but not competitive, gaming across the PC and Xbox.
