Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima recently went gold ahead of its release next month. The day one patch size has also been revealed, courtesy of Twisted Voxel. While the notes are intentionally vague, noting “various localization fixes” and “other bug fixes”, the patch itself is 7.7 GB. More details will likely arrive by launch, so we’ll wait and see if it’s anything significant, especially given the size of the patch.
Ghost of Tsushima takes place in the late 13th century and focuses on samurai Jin Sakai. Following the elimination of his clan and the occupation of Tsushima by the Mongols, Sakai embarks on a campaign of terror as the stealthy Ghost.
Though there’s a significant story component, Ghost of Tsushima is also about exploring the massive its world. Players will discover points of interest and Inari shrines by following birds and foxes respectively; various side quests can veer off into their own dedicated stories; and there should be plenty else to keep players occupied. The game is out on July 17th for PS4.
