Ghost of Tsushima Developer Looking To Bolster Team With Senior Gameplay Animator

Development on the open world title continues to trudge along.

A year ago, we wouldn’t have guessed that of Sony’s upcoming major PS4 exclusives, Ghost of Tsushima would be the last to get released, but more and more each day, it’s looking like that will end up being the case. Regardless, development on the open world samurai title is continuing to trudge along, and Sucker Punch are now looking to bolster their development team with new hirings.

As per a new job ad posted on Glassdoor, the studio is looking to hire a Senior Gameplay Animator. Interestingly, the job ad mentions that Sucker Punch is looking to recruit someone who can help them “create a wide range of compelling character experiences that a lone samurai would come across within the feudal Japan setting offered by Ghost of Tsushima.” The person getting the job will be responsible for a number of things, among which creating “believable hand keyed animations with convincing motion and performances” is also listed.

Another job listing earlier in the year suggested that large portion of writing work for the game is still yet to be done, but other reports suggest that Ghost of Tsushima will be out for the PS4 in the first half of 2020. Either way, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes our way.
