As promised last week, Ubisoft has unveiled new details for Ghost Recon Wildlands’ Special Operation 4. The update will be going live tomorrow and features a new PvE mode called Guerrilla, two new Ghost War maps, and a new PvP class. Check out the trailer below to see it all in action.
Guerrilla is essentially a Horde mode, as players take up positions around a core objective, and tasked with killing enemies attempting to take it. As waves progress, the enemies will become tougher, but you can loot gear pieces from corpses to buy better weapons in between rounds. Other PvE changes include the compass from Ghost Mode for regular players and the ability to change the time of day, making night infiltration much easier.
Along with two new maps, Ghost War players will also receive the new Sapper class. This class can lay down concussive mines from a drone that drain stamina, stopping the push of rushers. A custom match browser will also be available for Ghost War, allowing players to search for matches based on different criteria. New cosmetics and weapons to unlock will also be added to the game (including some of the weapons from Guerrilla being playable in the main game).
