Counterplay Games’ looter slasher action RPG Godfall launched back in late 2020, and though its shiny visuals certainly stirred some people up in the lead-up to its launch, it didn’t take long for players to figure out that the game itself had a lot of issues. If, however, you saw some potential in it and in Counterplay Games as a developer in turn, you might be curious to know what the studio works on next.
A recent job ad for a producer role published by Counterplay Games states that the developer is working on “an unannounced cooperative action fantasy shooter.” There isn’t much else to go on in the listing by way of details on the project, though it does seem like it’ll be built around a live service model, with the job listing making mention of “live operations AAA gaming.”
Of course, it’s probably going to be a while before we see what exactly this game turns out to be, though it should be interesting to see what lessons the studio takes from Godfall, and how it applies them to this new game.
