Gotham Knights Receives Free 4-Player Co-op Mode Heroic Assault on November 29th

The mode is separate from the campaign and allows up to players to battle through 30 floors with enemies and different objectives.

WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights is out next week and will feature co-op for two players. Those hoping to have up to four heroes fighting together will get their wish next month. A new standalone mode, Heroic Assault, goes live on November 29th and supports four players in co-op.

In its FAQ, the developer described Heroic Assault as separate from the campaign, taking place in an “arena-like environment” with 30 floors. Completing objectives and defeating enemies allows for progressing to the next floor. The mode is a free update for all players, so that’s nice.

PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold is required for two-player online co-op on consoles, so expect Heroic Assault to follow suit. As for whether there’s any incentive for playing the mode – like exclusive gear or cosmetics that are not available in the campaign – we’ll have to wait for more details. Stay tuned in the meantime.

Gotham Knights is out on October 21st for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out the cinematic launch trailer here.
