Unless and until you are leaving under ground, Sony and Polyphony Digital have officially announced Gran Turismo 6 for the PlayStation 3. Now that the live conference is underway in UK, a few details are popping up.
First of all, Gran Turismo 6 will be using adaptive tessalation. In Adaptive Tessalation developers can use the GPU to do the tessellation calculations, which saves graphics bus bandwidth and is many times faster than using the CPU. You can read about Adaptive Tessalation over here.
The game will also feature a totally new physics and rendering engine. To top that Polyphony Digital have totally reworked the way the car’s suspension and tyres will handle. They took feedback from suspension companies to get the perfect simulation running.
Players will be able to build their own cars and there will be a constant flow of downlodable content. More custom parts will be coming in Gran Turismo 6 along with several thousand pieces of aero parts will be available. There will be a new track available every month via DLC.
Gran Turismo 6 also includes a new course maker along with online community and racing clubs. The game will also feature new user interface which focuses on quick response and short load times.
We will keep you update as we have more information about the game.
