Gran Turismo 7 Holds on to Top Spot in Weekly UK Retail Charts, WWE 2K22 Debuts in 2nd Place

Launch physical sales for WWE 2K22 are down 32% over WWE 2K20. Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus also debut in the top 5.

The Gfk has released the latest weekly data for physical software sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry), and Gran Turismo 7which debuted on top of the charts last week, has held on to the top spot this week as well. It sees a 57% drop in sales from last week.

In second place, we have a new release, with WWE 2K22 making its debut, seeing 43% of its sales on PS5, 29% on PS4, 17% on Xbox One, and 11% on Xbox Series X/S. The game has, however, managed 32% lower physical sales at launch than WWE 2K20 did when it released- though it’s worth remember, as always, that digital sales have seen a dramatic increase in marketshare over the last couple of years especially.

Elden Ringmeanwhile, gets pushed down to No. 3, while Horizon Forbidden West and Pokemon Legends: Arceus follow in fourth and fifth place respectively. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok also made it into the charts, but failed to get into the top 10, slotting in at No. 12.
