GRIS Launches December 13th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One

The PS5 version runs at 4K/120 FPS with DualSense support, while the Xbox Series X features 4K/60 FPS and 2K/120 FPS modes.

Nomada Studios’ GRIS is coming to Xbox Series One, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 (with a free upgrade for PS4 owners) on December 13th. The side-scrolling adventure celebrates its fourth anniversary next week after first launching for PC and Nintendo Switch in 2018. It sold over one million copies as of April 2020.

The Xbox Series X and PS5 versions run at 4K, but there are significant differences. The former can run at 4K/60 FPS or 2K resolution and 120 FPS. Meanwhile, Sony’s console offers 4K at 120 FPS, along with support for the DualSense’s haptics, speaker, and so on. The Xbox Series S version runs at 2K/120 FPS.

GRIS is about a girl of the same name exploring various surreal environments. The wordless narrative sees her attempting to regain her singing voice and restore color to the world. Though it offers platforming and puzzles, players can’t die or fail. Stay tuned for more details when GRIS launches next week for Xbox and PS5.
