GTA 5 Box Art To Be Revealed Later, Release Date Delay Will Not Impact Sales

The people who will buy the game are in millions.

Rockstar had planned to reveal the box art of Grand Theft Auto 5 but unfortunately it got delayed. A Rockstar representative has confirmed that the reveal will happen later.

A Rockstar representative said this on the official website: “For those of you asking about the official box art, that will be coming out a bit later as well.”  Earlier we had reported about Rockstar being straight forward about baseless speculation on GTA 5’s release date delay.

In a related story, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes that the delay will not hamper Grand Theft Auto 5 sales. He said, “The delay is not particularly leveraging to the game’s revenue and profit potential,” to Examiner.

“I’m sure that there are a handful of gamers who will pass on the game solely because they are buying a next generation console this fall, but that number is in the thousands, not the millions, so it’s not a huge problem,” Pachter believed.

It is kind of a trend at Rockstar to delay their high profile video games. But will this mean a better product for the gamers? Earlier impressions tell us so, but these extra few months should help the developers to churn out even more from the PS3 and Xbox 360.
