Halo 5 Guardians Arena Multiplayer Footage Reveals “Fathom” Map

It's red vs. blue in an underwater facility.

Some new gameplay footage from 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians has made its way out prior to Microsoft’s Gamescom presser and it showcases the Arena multiplayer mode in a new map called “Fathom.”

Fathom takes place in an underwater facility of sorts and the overall structures facilitate both long-range sniping and close range shotgunning. There are also quite a few nooks and corners that allow for more inventive tactics like climbing up to walkways or sliding underneath barriers to attack foes. It’s all fairly dynamic and worth a watch.

Arena is only one of the new multiplayer modes to come to Halo 5: Guardians. The other is Warzone, a massive 12 vs. 12 multiplayer battle focusing on capturing points, taking out AI enemies, attacking enemy bases and leveling up to earn different load-outs.

Halo 5: Guardians will release on October 27th worldwide on Xbox One. What are your thoughts on the new multiplayer footage? Let us know in the comments.
