Halo 5: Guardians has recently been riding quite a wave of popularity, absolutely dominating the social media realm for brief period thanks to the new “Hunt the truth” advertising and marketing campaign. Frank O’Connor, the Franchise Development Director for Halo, has been on Twitter recently talking about the next instalment of Hunt the truth marketing campaign, saying that it’s going to be dark.
He said, “Next episode of #huntthetruth goes to a dark place.” He also dropped a little bit of an update on the Halo 3 ODST update , basically as a decent attempt at damage control, for the Master Chief Collection. Once again speaking by way of Twitter, he said “ODST conversion to 60fps and 1080p is really showing off some of the subtle improvements to the H3 engine Bungie put in the 360 version.”
He also gave a shout out to ODST composer Marty O’Donnel, saying “Also a great chance to relive one of the legendary Marty O’Donnell’s best/ most underappreciated scores.” Halo 5 Guardians will launch on October 27, 2015 exclusively for the Xbox One.
