You know, myself and many other gamers may be burned out on Halo at this point, but there’s no denying that Halo 5: Guardian’s Hunt the Truth advertising campaign is a good one. One part of the ad campaign has gathered over 3 million views online and has generated in excess of 56,000 links to social media websites like Facebook and Twitter. Seriously, did you at least see those Live Action Trailers?

iSpot.tv, a TV advertisement tracking company, have said, “Halo is doing extremely well in aggregate, without question,” according to their analyst Charlie Foster. Now given that Halo 5 has three separate adverts to draw from and build their aggregated statistics, success isn’t too surprising. However the sheer numbers are what has people impressed, collectively representing a full 7% of all the online conversations TV based adverts have produced.

The whole point of the campaign is for players to literally hunt the truth, they are encouraged to take to the internet and find clues about the game, its story and more. It’s actually all pretty cool. You  can see Locke’s trailer beneath, though I personally prefer Chief’s.
