Halo Infinite: Voice Actor of Master Chief Set To Return

To no one's surprise, Master Chief's voice actor is returning for the sequel.

Halo is coming back, and so is Master Chief. At their recent E3 presser, Microsoft had a lot of announcements to make, and one of the biggest ones, which they also kicked off the conference with, was that of Halo: Infinite, the next game in the series. The trailer they showed was a very cool one, with the very end of it being a shot of the series’ main character’s iconic helmet.

So it’s no surprise to anyone that the Master Chief is returning. And it follows that it’s also not surprising at all that Steve Downes, the man who’s been voicing the character since 2001 is also going to return- not that it was ever in doubt. The official Halo twitter account put up a post after the game’s announcement accompanied with the caption “Are you ready to get back to work?”, to which Downes promptly replied “I was born ready.”

Master Chief was on the sidelines a bit in Halo 5: Guardians, but it looks like he’s going to be at the forefront once again when the next Halo game rolls around. When exactly that will be is anyone’s best guess, though 343 Industries have made it perfectly clear that the game’s quite far away from launch- it might even end up being a launch title for the next Xbox. Either way, stick with GamingBolt, and we’ll keep bringing you more updates on the game.
