Halo Tops Guinness World Record’s 50 Best Video Game Series

Guinness World Record have revealed their Top 50 Best Video Game Series. And the winner is a no brainer. Halo which has been Xbox’s biggest franchise to date has managed to take the top position. The franchise has sold over 27 milion copies world wide and has garnered over $1.5 billion in sales. Taking the second spot is Activision’s Call of Duty series. I wonder how much of that has to do with the phenomenal success of Modern Warfare 2. Nintendo’s most loved game: The Legend of Zelda takes a solid third place. I am really very happy to see the Metal Gear franchise in there as well, as its my favorite series of all time. The list has all the great franchises like Resident Evil, Half Life and Mario, but there are a few surprises in Killzone and WWE.
