Halo Wars 2 Gets New Multiplayer Footage At Gamescom

It's looking surprisingly great.

Although we won’t get to play more of Halo Wars 2 until next year – the next beta for the game is scheduled for early next year – we still got to see some of it in action, thanks to Microsoft releasing some new footage of the game’s multiplayer mode at Gamescom today.

The game actually looks really great in this footage- if anyone had any fears that this might be a compromised RTS experience due to it also being on a console (and I know I did), it seems like those fears may have been unfounded. Admittedly it looks like they are playing the PC version in this footage, but in that case, at least PC players can rest assured that they’ll be getting a full fledged experience.

Halo Wars 2 is being developed by The Creative Assembly. It is a sequel to 2008’s Halo Wars, which was developed by Ensemble of Age of Empires fame, and launched exclusively on the Xbox 360.
