Long-suffering Hollow Knight fans have been waiting for the sequel to the Metroidvania classic for a long time now, but with 2023 supposedly being the year that Hollow Knight: Silksong finally releases, we’re beginning to see hints of a light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, a recent development may have made that light just a little bit brighter.
Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a page on the Switch eShop. At E3 last year, it was confirmed that the game would be out before June 2023, and with January already behind us, one would assume that, if those plans are still on track, the game won’t be too far away from release.
Whether this means we can expect a showing sometime in the relatively near future remains to be seen. Recent leaks have claimed that a Nintendo Direct presentation could be scheduled for next week, and if that is indeed the case, it might be a suitable stage for Hollow Knight to make an appearance.
Whenever it releases, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will also be available via Game Pass at launch.
