The long awaited sequel to the 2011 cult hit shooter Homefront, Homefront: The Revolution, is almost out- and when it does launch, it will apparently have a day one patch that is ‘strongly recommended’ for all players by the developers.
In a message posted on the game’s forums, Dambuster told players to ensure that they downloaded and installed the update.
“The Day 1 update includes a range of performance and framerate improvements as well as other fixes to enhance your playthrough experience. We strongly recommend you have the Day 1 update installed before starting your playthrough.”
Of course, the update will be mandatory if any player wants to go online and play in the game’s much vaunted multiplayer modes- so there is that. Then again, the developers have promised a full fledged single player campaign for the game, far longer than the average, usual single player shooter campaign, so players can also choose to ignore the multiplayer for a good dozen hours or so as they focus on the story mode.
Homefront: The Revolution will be available May 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in North America, and on May 20 everywhere else.
