Sony had previously said that there would be no major new PS5 announcements at the recent State of Play broadcast, but they did end up showing one pretty interesting looking new title. Developed by Sumo Digital and published by Focus Home Interactive, Hood: Outlaws and Legends is a 4v4 multiplayer game that combines combat, stealth, and strategy.
Set in a world that’s described as a gritty and dark reimagining of the Robin Hood Legend, Hood: Outlaws and Legends will see two teams of 4 players each going up against each other in areas where they will fight against AI-controlled guards (or try to sneak past them, perhaps) in an effort to get to the treasure chest before the other team.
Once the treasure chest has been stolen, you will also have to plan your escape and make your way out. Ammo conversation, resource management, or even carrying the weight of the treasure will all be things you will have to deal with, so there’s definitely a focus on being more realistic and grounded. You can check out the announcement trailer below.
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is releasing some time in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
