The PlayStation VR2’s launch lineup doesn’t have an awful lot of major new games that’ll make your ears perk up, but at the very least, it’s launching with one major flagship game in its launch lineup in Horizon Call of the Mountain. Ahead of the headset and the game’s imminent release, Sony has now also revealed a launch trailer for it.
Developed by Guerrilla and Firesprite, Horizon Call of the Mountain is a first person game that focuses on intense combat against Machines and plenty of climbing-centric traversal gameplay. Players step into the shoes of Ryas, a former Shadow Carja looking to restore his honour, who is offered his freedom (and a chance at redemption) by Sun-King Avad if he can help investigate a new threat and what’s causing it. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse at its story, combat, climbing gameplay, and of course, plenty of Machines.
Horizon Call of the Mountain launches for PlayStation VR2 on February 22.
