Italian indie development team Storm in a Teacup announced their first person survival horror title, Close to the Sun, almost exactly one year ago at Gamescom 2017, and though the game has flown under the radar a bit since then, those that have been following it have been intrigued by its for several reasons, including its atmosphere and its setting.
If you are one of those who’re looking forward to the game, Storm in a Teacup have announced that it will be launching for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 of 2019. Additionally, they’ve also confirmed that they will be bringing the game to Gamescom 2018 as well, which takes place in about a months’ time, and will be showing it off to select members of the media at the Italian Trade Stand.
Built on Unreal Engine 4, Close to the Sun will see you playing as Rose, a journalist who is searching for her sister as she explores a mysterious ship, completely defenceless and unarmed. It’s been described as a “story-centric” title by its developers in the past. Are you going to play the game when it launches next year? Tell us in your comments.
