Until not that long ago, Insomniac Games’ headcount wasn’t particularly massive, though the success of the Marvel’s Spider-Man series has taken the developer to a different level over the last few years. As of 2021, the developer had over 400 employees, and by now, it seems that number has swelled even further.
As spotted by a Reddit user, according to the LinkedIn page of Insomniac Games, the company currently employs 522 people, a significant increase from the aforementioned number. While the employee count on LinkedIn might not necessarily be a hundred percent accurate, it does clearly point to significant growth for the studio.
Given how many large-scale projects it currently has in the works, that doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is is due out this Fall, and according to Venom actor Tony Todd, is targeting September release. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Wolverine is also in development, and according to leaks, is targeting Fall 2024 launch. Multiple job ads have also indicated that Insomniac Games is also working on an unannounced multiplayer title.
