It Takes Two Might be Headed to the Nintendo Switch – Rumour

A prominent leaker has suggested that Hazelight and EA's widely acclaimed co-op platformer might be headed to the Nintendo Switch.

There’s no denying that It Takes Two was one of the best games of 2021. Hazelight and EA’s narrative-driven co-op platformer was a breath of fresh air, bursting with creativity and delightful design. Interestingly, it seems like the widely acclaimed title could soon be headed to another platform, opening the gates for more players to dive into its offerings.

As reported by What if Gaming, it looks like prominent leaker The Snitch has strongly hinted in his Discord server that a Nintendo Switch port of It Takes Two will be announced soon.

The leaker simply dropped a message comprised entirely of emoticons, showing a tree, a clock, a snowflake, a bee, and a house (all of which refer to similarly themed levels in the game), followed by green shorts (worn by Cody, one of the game’s two protagonists), then a family (which is an obvious connection), and a book (a major character in the game). This line of emoticons is bookended by the Switch logo. So yeah, not exactly subtle. Check it out below.

The Snitch’s track record has been spot-on, for the most part, since the leaker first surfaced a couple of months ago, which is something to keep in mind. As for when this could be announced, leaks have claimed that a Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for this month, so maybe there’s something to that.

Interestingly, It Takes Two director Josef Fares said back before the game’s launch that a Nintendo Switch version of the game might not be possible. Read more on that through here.
