Recent rumours have claimed that a Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for sometime in the coming days, as they tend to do every year around September. While you can never be too sure where any Nintendo-related leaks are concerned, it’s been claimed once again that a Direct presentation is indeed scheduled for sometime in September.
In a recent episode of the Last of the Nintendogs podcast, journalist Jeff Grubb corroborated recent reports and stated that Nintendo has a Direct presentation planned soon. According to Grubb, the presentation is likely to happen sometime in the week of September 12- specifically, it’ll likely be scheduled either on September 13 or September 14, depending on time zones, Grubb says.
While there’s apparently a chance that it ends up being a Nintendo Direct Mini – which is a shorter presentations with fewer high profile announcements – Grubb speculates it’s likely to be a general Direct presentation, given the scale and number of games that are likely to be showcased.
Grubb has also claimed that the long-rumoured Switch ports of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD will finally be unveiled, and speculates that the rumoured remasters of Metroid Prime and Kid Icarus: Uprising could also be announced.
Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of people who’re desperate for updates on Metroid Prime 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s sequel, while Nintendo has also yet to confirm a new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Soon-to-be-released games like Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could also receive new showings.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any new details as we head closer to the alleged Direct, so stay tuned for more updates.
