Jurassic World Evolution 2, the follow-up to Frontier Developments’ successful park manager, isn’t just about maintaining the dinosaurs in a controlled environment. It’s also focused on tracking down different dinosaurs across the United States in varying environments and climates to ensure they don’t get out of hand. In a new developer diary, the studio talks about making the game feel like an authentic Jurassic Park experience.
As such, you’ll still need to create different enclosures for each of the 75 species of dinosaurs. Various biomes, from forests and deserts to snowy mountain passes, are included and each poses their own set of challenges. Of course, on top of the Campaign, there’s also Chaos Theory mode, which re-imagines the different cinematic moments as “What if?” scenarios, allowing the player to see how key events would have played out differently.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 releases on November 9th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Head here for the previous dev diary which discusses the different biomes and other mechanics.
