Embracer Group has revealed in its recent earnings report that co-op zombie shooter Killing Floor 3 will finally be making its way on to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S before the end of the current fiscal year. This means that the game will be coming to PC and consoles before April 2025.
The company has stated in its earnings reports that it expects Killing Floor 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to release in FY 2024/25, which ends on March 31 next year, and for the duo to perform similarly to recent successful titles like Dead Island 2 and Remnant 2.
“A key assumption for our view of the year is that two key releases, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Killing Floor 3, within PC/Console, will reach the market successfully, largely in line with Dead Island 2 and Remnant 2 in FY 2023/24,” the report reads.
They’re both among 70 projects Embracer Group plans to release in FY 2024/25, which also includes three “important unannounced titles.”
Announced last year, Killing Floor 3 will be a follow-up to a franchise where the previous game came out almost eight years ago. The game was announced for PC and consoles during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, where it also got an announcement trailer.
Developer Tripwire Interactive has stayed relatively quiet about the game since its announcement, however, only occasionally teasing some of the new zombies—or Zeds as they are called in the Killing Floor setting.
Back in August 2023, the game’s creative director, Bryan Wynia, had revealed that Killing Floor 3 would feature microtransactions, including cosmetics items. Wynia stated that this was so that players can “express one’s self in a way that ‘fits’ with the game world.”
