Despite the name, TT Games’ LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the studio’s fourth outing with the character, maintaining the humorous adaptation that fans know and love. Unfortunately, it also continues the practice of no online co-op, as revealed in recent FAQ. Couch co-op for two players is still available, thankfully.
On the bright side, you won’t require an internet connection to play – it’s only necessary for downloading upgrades. There won’t be any microtransactions or purchasable consumables either. And while that sounds like a good thing, TT Games will likely sell additional content as paid DLC packs, as it’s done with previous LEGO titles, so keep that in mind.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It adapts several iconic moments from the Dark Knight’s history while offering a Batman Arkham-style combat system and multiple playable characters. You can also expect a large open world full of challenges and secrets to discover.
