The Gfk has released its latest weekly physical software sales charts for the UK (via GamesIndustry), and though there aren’t any new notable new releases to speak of this week, there’s been some activity in the charts nonetheless. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, for instance, has retaken the top spot, enjoying an 83% increase in sales from last week thanks to Amazon Prime Day.
The Nintendo Switch version of the action-adventure title benefited the most, seeing a 175% week-on-week boost in sales. That figure stood at 140% for Xbox Series X/S. Meanwhile, F1 22, which was on top last week, has been pushed down to second place.
A number of Ubisoft games also benefited significantly from Amazon Prime Day. There’s Far Cry 6, of course, which went straight from No. 32 to No. 6 thanks to a 275% boost in sales over the preceding week. Watch Dogs: Legion jumped to No. 20 thanks to a whopping 777% increase in sales, while Assassin’s Creed Valhalla climbed to No. 11 after a 44% increase.
