Lords of the Fallen 2 Will Receive “Big News” Soon But It’s Not Tied to The Game Awards’ Statue

"Flattered so many think we’re behind that statue. Can confirm it’s not us, we’re just as hyped as you are," said CI Games' CEO.

Few things have captured the imagination of The Game Awards viewers like The Statue (patent pending). Its design resulted in many theories about potential big announcements, from God of War to The Elder Scrolls 6, but it’s apparently none of those. Add Lords of the Fallen 2 to the list, according to CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski.

“Flattered so many think we’re behind that statue. Can confirm it’s not us, we’re just as hyped as you are,” he said on Twitter. The developers are apparently “praying” it’s FromSoftware-related. “Huge respect to them, and we dream of reaching that level one day.”

There’s still a chance that Lords of the Fallen 2 could appear, however, as Tyminski promised “big news” for both it and the original. “We’ve listened. Soon it’s time to reveal. Thanks for the insane love on the August trailer, now we’re ready to step it up again.”

Until then, Lords of the Fallen 2 is scheduled to launch in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC (via the Epic Games Store). Set 100 years after the first game, the Umbra has leaked into the realm of the living, causing widespread chaos. It’s up to the Lightbearer to set things right, which is easier said than done when dealing with massive, world-ending threats.
