For many years, if there’s one thing that’s been inevitable that every year will see the release of a new Madden game. But with sporting leagues and events around the world currently suspended due to COVID-19, 2020 became the one year where there was a little bit of uncertainty around that- if new seasons don’t begin, would we get new games?
But, of course, EA weren’t going to skip a year. They recently confirmed that they will be releasing new instalments for all of their sports franchises in 2020, Madden NFL included, and during the recent Inside Xbox broadcast, they also confirmed that Madden NFL 21 will also be coming to Xbox Series X- which was also something of a given.
Interestingly enough, it was also confirmed that Madden NFL 21 will support Smart Deliver (which EA has hinted will be the case for many of its games). However, as is often the case with EA, there are some caveats to that. To avail Smart Delivery support, you will have to purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One by December 31, 2020, and you will have to upgrade to Xbox Series X by March 31, 2020.
Makes you wonder if that’s how other EA releases will support Smart Deliver as well.
Madden NFL 21 will be out later this year for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, PS4, and (presumably) PS5.
