Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Will Have Different Difficulties, 2 Character Trials

Producer Peter Rosas answers numerous questions from fans.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Capcom’s latest in the crossover fighting game series, is out in September but there’s still a reasonable amount of concern over it. To that end, producer Peter “Combofiend” Rosas spoke to Game Informer and answered several questions.

Many of the questions answer the technicalities of cancelling, blocking, combos and whatnot but Rosas also talked about varying difficulties for the story. “Yes, there will be different difficulties. If a player his having a hard time with a particular fight, they’ll be able to choose whether they want to lower the difficulty or not.”

Unfortunately, he didn’t clarify whether players would get different in-game rewards from finishing the story mode at higher difficulties.

As for the mission mode, Rosas noted that there would indeed be two-character trials to help players master active switching. “The mission mode trials emphasize how to utilize each character’s attacks and how they function within MvC:I. That said, as active switching is part of mastering your character within a team, there will be two-character trials present to give the player a taste of the infinite possibilities that are present.”

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite arrives on September 19th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
