It’s no secret that Marvel’s Midnight Suns, tactical RPG developed by Firaxis of XCOM fame, had a somewhat mixed response to its gameplay reveal. Originally slated to release this past March, it was delayed to the second half of 2022 in order to make it “the best game possible.” Sources speaking to insider Tom Henderson have revealed that the title has undergone some kind of “huge revamp” since its controversial reveal.
In a report on TryHardGuides, he noted that revamped trailer would be revealed in June along with the game’s release date (potentially on June 9th at the Summer Game Fest). The nature of the “revamp” is unknown and even Henderson isn’t sure how significant it will be. Regardless, it seems we’ll find out more in the coming weeks so stay tuned.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It sees The Hunter, an original superhero, resurrected by the Midnight Suns to stop Lilith from wreaking havoc and reviving her master, Chthon. Along with partaking in battles with a squad of three, players can also interact with and form bonds with each member of the group.
