Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered vs Original Comparison Video Shows Impressive Visual Improvements

Higher frame rates, ray tracing, better draw distances, and much more.

It recently emerged that Insomniac Games have been working on the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for about year, and one look at the upgrade makes it clear that clearly a lot of work has gone into it. Insomniac recently showed off the remaster in action, showcasing impressive improvements, and shortly afterward, YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits uploaded a video doing a side-by-side comparison of the remaster with the original game running on a PS4 Pro. At the risk of repeating myself, it’s a significant upgrade- take a look below.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will feature a Performance Mode to play the game at 60 FPS, ray-tracing, updated environments, other visual upgrades, higher fidelity for characters and animations, new Trophies, new suits, and new features in the Photo Mode. The remaster is also introducing a new look for Peter Parker with a new facial model. It’s been the recipient of some backlash, which creative director Bryan Intihar recently addressed.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will release exclusively for PS5 on November 12. It will only be available as a download code in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. A standalone release is not currently planned.
