Mass Effect Andromeda: Aliens Take A ‘Surprising’ Amount of Work In The Game, Secret IP Updates

The 'Secret IP' is just the latest little secret the development team has hinted at.

Now that everyone is anxiously awaiting the eventual release of Mass Effect Andromeda, we’re getting little pieces of information here and there thanks in large part to random comments made by the development on Twitter. Guys like Chris Wynn and Jay Watamaniuk have been especially active and especially focal throughout the development process when it comes to small success and bumps in the road the team has run across over the last few months.

One specific piece of information brought to light is that the aliens in this particular game are taking a “surprising amount of work” to get done. Wynn  actually made the comment in response to Ian Frazier’s cryptic “ugh, freaking aliens,” tweet. That’s not really apropos of anything but at least we know there are going to be a number of aliens in the game and it certainly appears quite a bit of work is going into them.

On the other hand, Jay Wataniuk has been doing an awful lot of talking about his work on the secret IP. There has been all kinds of different comments about secret content since the game was first announced and it appears that content has been getting some revamps recently. The Bioware writer tweeted out the other day that he was spending his time, “Looking at new concept art today and giving feedback.” In another tweet, the writer said the meeting went quite a bit better than previous meetings. All in all, it looks as if progress is being made. While there isn’t an official release date, Mass Effect: Andromeda is expected out around the Holiday season next year.
