Gameplay from Bioware’s Mass Effect Andromeda just got leaked. You’d think this is an April Fool’s Day but it’s not.
There is a catch though. According to the NeoGAF user who posted, the footage (which has since been removed from both mirrors) comes from the reel of a “certain developer” working on the game. The GIFs attached showcase the new jetpack and a Krogan in the game.
However, as industry insider shinobi602 would state, “This is around a late 2014 build. It doesn’t look like this now.”
Whatever footage we’ve officially seen of Mass Effect Andromeda has been on the Frostbite Engine but it was rendered in-engine. Whether that was actually gameplay or not remains to be seen but you can apparently rest assured that the game looks better than this now.
Mass Effect Andromeda is rumoured to be showcased at this year’s E3 by Electronic Arts with a release by Q1 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
