Mass Effect: Andromeda, the fourth entry in Bioware’s science fiction epic saga, was revealed earlier this year, but there is a lot about it that we still don’t know. Actually, we know nothing about it. Given this dearth of information, it comes as no surprise that people are now clinging on to any scrap of information that even remotely pertains to the game that they can find.
And so, we have this- a job listing on EA and Bioware’s website, for a Senior Graphic Programmer / Senior Graphics Programmer. The job listing appears to be for improving the Frostbite engine that is used for a lot of in house EA games, and will be used for Andromeda. The job listing states that ‘[EA] are looking for a senior graphics programmer to work together to continue the graphical innovation AAA titles, new and existing, designed using the Frostbite engine. The programmer will have to work closely with our team of exceptional artists by focusing on improving the engine’s performance and stability and developing flows and art-related pipelines and content.’
This would be news if, you know, it wasn’t so commonplace. Of course they want to improve the engine, that’s what a software developer does. Still, I guess, if you were thirsty for Mass Effect Andromeda news, here’s your dosage for today.
