Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to have a lot to do. Not including loyalty missions, hostile bases, roaming bosses, resources to collect and different ways to customize your characters, the world is simply the largest that the developer has ever created.
Speaking to Game Informer, producer Mike Gamble said, “This is the biggest we’ve ever gone, in terms of the number of pieces of content. There are combat-related encounters, puzzle-related encounters, narrative-related encounters, and a lot of things will happen that add more depth to the critical path.”
Producer Fabrice Condominas also spoke about how scanning opens up so much about the environment around you. “Scanning is one of the most important exploration tools you’ll have in the game. You’re in a new galaxy; there are a lot of things where you just have no clue what’s going on. The scanner is a way to capture what is in your environment, send the information back to the Tempest to analyze it, and find those clues.”
You can also spot fights between the enemy factions, which seems to indicate that Ryder and humanity will be facing more than just the Kett. Mass Effect: Andromeda is out in Q1 2017 so stay tuned for more information.
