Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Early Alpha Footage Emerges

Bioware producers discuss changes and new features.

Bioware has promised that we’d see footage from multiplayer for Mass Effect: Andromeda soon. While PAX East would have seemed like a good time, footage has already become available courtesy of gamermd83 on YouTube. In the video, she sat down with multiplayer producer Billy Buskell and producer Fernando Melo to talk about the co-op aspect.

It’s worth noting that the footage showcased is from a closed early alpha test build running on the PlayStation 4. Suffice to say, the version at PAX East will look superior. For what’s being showcased though, the multiplayer appears fairly stable for an alpha test build.

When asked if you’d be able to play as a Volus, the one race that hasn’t been confirmed for a return, Buskell and Melo said there was nothing to announce yet. Will there be banter between the characters in multiplayer like in Dragon Age: Inquisition? The duo sheepishly noted how it would be “an interesting idea”.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be out on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know below.
