Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Test Cancellation Further Addressed

Producer Mike Gamble understands fans' concerns.

Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda was meant to receive details for its multiplayer tech test by January end. When that didn’t happen and the game went gold, the developer subsequently announced that it had been cancelled. Granted, the tech test will make an appearance at PAX East on March 10th to 12th but fans are still worried.

Over on Twitter, producer Mike Gamble responded to queries on why the tech test was cancelled. He noted that, “@masseffect really close to launch, we did our tech test/closed alpha, and we are revealing at PAX!”

When someone sarcastically pointed out how this wasn’t alarming at all, Gamble replied, “I get why you think that. I would too. But, it’s not the case. Wait, and see for yourself.”

Given how many multiplayer games have famously had trouble at launch, especially after extensive beta testing, one can’t help but feel a tinge of doubt. Nevertheless, we’ll know how things are when Mass Effect: Andromeda launches on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
