Mass Effect Andromeda On Nintendo Switch: Bioware Says They Can’t Talk About Future Plans

There's plenty of time for them to make the announcement in the future if it's going to happen, though.

To the surprise of many, EA are among the many, many third parties that will be supporting Nintendo’s Switch system. After how poorly EA supported the Wii U, and their open refusal to commit to Switch support prior to its reveal, it was unknown whether they’d be back- but it looks like they are.

What capacity they are back in, however, isn’t yet known. Will they just port a bunch of old games to the system and be done with it again? Will they just put their sports games on it? Or will the Switch properly become a part of their multiplatform strategy going forward?

Can a game like Bioware’s upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda, for example, be expected to hit the Nintendo Switch? A hopeful fan decided to take to Twitter and ask just that question. Bioware’s Michael Gamble, however, refused to commit to Switch support, saying that they couldn’t discuss their current plans yet.

If Andromeda is going to be on Switch, then Bioware have plenty of time to confirm that- the Switch, like Mass Effect, launches worldwide in March 2017.
