Mass Effect Andromeda PC Frame Rate is Higher Than 30 FPS

Save files carrying over into sequels still undecided.

Bioware’s Mass Effect Andromeda has been receiving oodles of new information lately with creative director Mac Walters providing smaller snippets in an interview with Game Informer.

Walters confirmed that the PC version of the game will run at higher than 30 frames per second. Whether the frame rate will be unlocked is uncertain but he noted that “some platforms” besides PC would run the game at 30 FPS. Whether the PS4 Pro version runs at a higher frame rate or not, especially when viewed on an HDTV, Walters said it’s still, “To be decided”.

Mass Effect Andromeda also shouldn’t be considered the start of a new trilogy and as such, the studio is unsure whether save files from the game will carry over into future sequels. One interesting little tidbit though – your companions in the game can’t die. As for whether other add-on characters arrive through DLC, Walters wouldn’t confirm.

Mass Effect Andromeda is currently slated to release in Spring 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
