Mass Effect Andromeda PC Version Will Have Fully Unlocked Framerate

PC players won't be restricted to playing the game at just 30fps.

When Mass Effect Andromeda was (finally!!!) shown off at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting event last week, it looked great- and it was also clear that the game was running at just 30 frames per second. Given that this is a game being published by EA, and not developed by DICE, there was the fear that its PC version too would have restrictions on the framerate and resolution allowed.

However, now Bioware’s developers have confirmed on Twitter that the PC version of the game will have fully unlocked framerate, and that it will not be limited to running at just 30 frames. The 30fps demonstration was for the PS4 version only, as well as to demonstrate parity between the PS4 and the PS4 Pro version. The PC version will be fully unlocked, unless the player enables V-Sync, it sounds like.

Mass Effect Andromeda is due out on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC by March 2017. It will be enhanced for the PlayStation 4 Pro.
