Mass Effect Andromeda Post-Launch Multiplayer Maps Will Be Free

Missions revealed.

The wait for Mass Effect: Andromeda continues as Bioware releases even more multiplayer information snippets.

Producer Fernando Melo revealed one of the newer features called “Missions”. Touted as the link between multiplayer and single-player, Missions come with modifiers like decreased weapon damage but increased weak point damage in return for better rewards.

These include Mission Funds (which can be spent on weekly rotating gear in multiplayer), Loot Boxes and more. Given how they’re marked “Pathfinder Rewards”, we would assume these are for single-playr.

Furthermore, Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed that like Mass Effect 3, future multiplayer maps will be free. It’s expected that any future characters and gear will also be available for free if it’s just like the third game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the multiplayer being free? Let us know below.
