Mass Effect Andromeda Running At 1080p And 900p On PS4/Xbox One, Scorpio Dev Kits Not Yet Shipped

Bioware GM Aaryn Flynn offers slight updates.

With 2017 upon us, one would expect more information to start trickling in for some of the bigger releases like Bioware’s Mass Effect Andromeda. The release date is still up in the air but we are learning a bit more about the technical side of the game. Sort of.

Over on NeoGAF, Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn responded to a comment about the game being 900p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One. He noted that, “Last I checked, we were like other Frostbite games on PS4 and XBox One – 1080p and 900p respectively. All are at 30 fps. PC has uncapped frame rate. I think we’ve even gotten over the 30 fps cap in cutscenes, but I’ll double-check in the next couple of weeks.”

This is the current build though and as the game is further optimized, things could change. Interestingly, industry insider shinobi602 revealed that dev kits for Project Scorpio haven’t even been sent to Bioware yet.

What does that say about Mass Effect Andromeda on Scorpio? We’ll find out over the rest of the year.
