Mass Effect Andromeda Story DLC May Be Cancelled- Report

If true, this wouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Mass Effect Andromeda has had a troubled launch- the game was launched to negative reviews and player reception, and Bioware has been in damage control mode ever since, to salvage what it can of the title. Apparently one of the companies enlisted to help with this was Austrian software company Sinclair- and according to a now deleted post made on Facebook by Sinclair, post launch story DLC for Mass Effect Andromeda may now be cancelled, too.

“This saddens us to say, but it was made official after a meeting this week that there will be no story DLC for Mass Effect Andromeda. Due to issues in initial production, heavy critique, significant delays in other projects it was decided to shelve the franchise for the time being and all resources and outsourcing are being focused to the 2018 release of Anthem,” the Facebook post reads. The post goes on to confirm that Mass Effect is now on ice, and that only the APEX missions will be released as additional content for the game.

This does seem to be in line with what recent reports about the game and the status of the series after the launch of Andrmeda have hinted at- how true this Facebook post was is something that is, as of right now, unknown. But we wouldn’t be too surprised if it turned out to be accurate.
