Mass Effect Andromeda Story ‘Very Much’ A Human One, N7 Day Trailer Released

The development team says it didn't have to choose a human hero, but decided to go that direction after all.

As we get closer and closer (though still months away) release date for Mass Effect: Andromeda we’re learning more and more about the story behind the game. Recently Aaryn Flynn filled fans of the game series and Bioware in on what he has planned as far as the story for this game. On Twitter, Flynn said he and his team chose to go with a human being because the story they want to tell in Andromeda is a “very human story.”

Because the story is focused on a human one, the main character has to be a human one, because the development team wanted to make sure and make the story one people could relate to. Flynn was actually challenged on the social media site. Another user said that the main character does not need to be human, even if the team wants to put together a human story. The user pointed to the fact that Spock wasn’t a human and he was still the “most human” of all the people on the show.

Flynn responded that despite that argument, he didn’t actually say they couldn’t choose some other race than human, they just decided to go that direction in the long run. Almost as an afterthought, Flynn also made sure he made it clear he thought one of the reasons that Spock was such a human character was because he was in fact, part human. That part of his origin was actually the reason his story was so interesting. Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to hit during the Holiday season in 2016, in the meantime check out a new N7 Day trailer that was just released.
