Mass Effect Andromeda To Have Dynamic Weather Effects On Objects/Characters, Dev Reacts To Fan Videos

Chris Wynn seems to think development of the game is moving right along.

The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda is still quite ways off, but Bioware is letting a few pieces of information slip out here and there for dedicated fans of the series to drool over. The Bioware team is also clearly entertained by the reaction of the fans of the long running series. One piece of fun little info was when the team released a video reacting to fans of the series reacting to the very first cinematic trailer.

There wasn’t a ton of info here, but it did show that the development team clearly is happy that the game has been met with so much excitement. Where we did get a little bit of info is from the Twitter account of Mass Effect Senior Development Director Chris Wynn. He recently posted a number of tweets proclaiming his excitement over how the development of the game is going so far. Wynn says the team hit a pretty big milestone, though he didn’t say exactly what that milestone is. It stands to reason the proclamation means the game is on track to be released in its original timeframe.

The second Twitter post brings specific information about the dynamic weather effects in Andromeda. Wynn says that he got to see these effects play out on a number of objects and characters in the game. He adds that the effect, “was ridiculously cool.” All of this is good news for fans of the series. While Mass Effect: Andromeda doesn’t have an official release date, it’s expected for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC during the Holiday season of 2016.
