Mass Effect Andromeda – Xbox Scorpio Patch Is A Possibility

The issue seems to be one of timing.

Bioware have openly shot down the idea of an Xbox One Scorpio version for Mass Effect Andromeda, but in a recent interview, they acknowledged that that was more because of the game’s March release date. Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine (via Xbox Tavern), the game’s director Mac Walters said that the game could one day support the Scorpio, if a Game of the Year edition, or something of that sort, were to release.

“Given our Spring release date, I’m not sure exactly what we’re going to be able to support at that time, but we have a strong service plan for ME that will continue past our release date. If we do a Game of the Year edition, or a future edition or something like that, that’s something we’d definitely consider looking at, for sure.”

Mass Effect Andromeda is due out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21. While Scorpio support remains in the air, the game is confirmed to have multiple PS4 Pro enhancements.
