Capcom’s Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection briefly appeared during the publisher’s TGS 2022 Online Program. Game director Masakazu Eguchi aka Mr Famous revealed several new details, like a High Image Quality Filter that could be applied to all games to smooth out the pixelated edges.
The Gallery Mode will have 1,000 illustrations, while the music player features 188 songs from the entire series. If that weren’t enough, the main menu has a voiced 3D Mega Man.EXE that serves as the player’s personal Navi as they play. Eguchi also confirmed that online battles and chip trading would be available for all series in the collections.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection releases in 2023 for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The digital release consists of two volumes, and Capcom has confirmed the content. Vol. 1 includes Mega Man Battle Network 1 and 2 along with Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue and White. Vol. 2 features Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon and Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel and Team Protoman, and Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar and Cybeast Falzar.
More details are slated for future presentations, so stay tuned.
